Serve
Why We Serve
In Matthew 22:36-39 Jesus tell us to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind. Then He added we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus tells us to go, make disciples, and teach them. As Christ followers, we are commanded to go and tell others the Good News we have. We serve because we have God’s love within us and we want our neighbors to know that love too.
Serve at Park Hill
Here at Park Hill we have multiple ways to serve from helping with worship care for preschoolers, to teaching in Vacation Bible School and in Sunday School. There are on-going opportunities to help with several of our partners like Urban Promise, the North Little Rock Middle School, as well as a local food pantry.
Serve Little Rock
In the central Arkansas area, we have served with the Caring Hearts Pregnancy Center, the Baptist Campus Ministry, the International Friendship Organization and its Conversation Club. Our older elementary students look forward to participating in VBX which gives them hands on service for several of the non-profit organizations in our area. Our police prayer ministry pairs church members with police officers to pray and encourage them as they serve our community. Several of our congregation are involved in tutoring opportunities through Urban Promise and STEP Ministries. We also offer ESL classes to the international community in the metropolitan area.
Park Hill has been participating in the statewide Acts 1:8 One Day Mission Trip for several years. We also support the work of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention through the Dixie Jackson Offering for state missions.
