Danny Lacey

Worship Pastor

Danny earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Texas Tech University and a Master of Arts in Worship Leadership from Liberty University. For more than 25 years, he and his wife, Rachel, have served churches in Texas and Oklahoma. Past places of service in Texas include First Baptist Church in Lubbock, Great Hills Baptist Church in Austin, and New Hope First Baptist Church in Cedar Park. Since 2016, he has served in his present capacity as Worship Pastor at First Baptist Church in Ada, OK.

Danny writes, “My number one priority in life is to live in fellowship with Christ and offer to Him true worship through a life of obedience. My second priority in life is to love and serve my family as my first and greatest life ministry.”

In addition to his skills in worship leadership, Danny enjoys utilizing modern media and lighting to create engaging and meaningful worship experiences. Danny is passionate about involving all generations of the church in worship ministry. He believes in equipping volunteer teams in both music and technology to use their abilities to serve God and build up the church. A gifted musician on keys and guitar, Danny has also recorded and produced live and studio albums for churches and songwriters. In 2022, Danny published the song “Sunrise,” and in 2023 Blake & Jenna Bolerjack recorded and released “The Voice of God,” a song Danny helped write.

The Laceys have been married for 25 years and have three sons: Devin, 22, a Cinematic Arts major at Liberty University; Daniel, 20, a Music Business / Worship Leadership major at Dallas Baptist University; and Dalton, 15, a freshman in high school who enjoys basketball, tennis, fishing, hunting, and all things outdoors.
