Outreach Ministry

The support and care of the church family is very important.  As we take care of each other we grow together in our love for the Lord.  The Pastoral Care and Missions Ministries has many programs and support groups to facilitate the many needs of our members and those of our community.

Caregivers Support Group
Provide encouragement and support to caregivers by sharing common experiences and needs through educational resources and guest speakers.
Third Thursday, 11:30 a.m. - Fellowship Hall


Widow(er) Support Group

To help those who have lost their spouse through their time of grief.
Second Thursday, 12:00 noon - Fellowship Hall


Baptist Health Wellness Center

A monthly community service providing various opportunities for testing such as blood pressure, cholestrol, blood sugar, etc.

Prayer Team

Pray for needs of our church family and to consider and develop ways of involving as many PHBC members as possible in effective, fervent, individual and corporate prayer.
Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. - Patoral Care Office


Divorce Recovery

A workshop intended to provide the information and atmosphere of acceptance to facilitate God's redemptive power to take the hurt and pain of a broken relationship while affirming God's purpose in each individual life.
Wednesday evenings, full course begins twice a year in September and January

Beautiful Feet Ministry
To motivate men of all races & denominations to do whatever it takes to bring glory to God by performing good works in their communities.

Power Lunch

Invite lost adults through relationship evangelism to meet other believers and hear guest speakers share their faith in Christ.

Barnabas

Provide Sunday School members the opportunity to give a monthly contribution toward benevolent needs in the NLR community.

Hospital Visitation

Give spiritual and emotional support to those in local hospitals through personal visits, phone calls, gifts, notes. etc.

Steps to Freedom

To help those who are fighting addiction to live a clean, sober and Christ honoring lifestyle.

Missionary Residence Ministry

Oversee the maintenance and furnishings for two homes provided for stateside missionaries.

Cancer FIghters Support Group
To provide for cancer patients, family and friends the opportunity to meet in a godly setting and share mutual concerns, offer encouragement through one another and guest speakers, while sharing issues and inspiration.
First Monday, 12:00 noon - Fellowship Hall.

Shepherd Ministry

Provide fellowship and encouragement to those who are unable to attend church and Sunday School.
Fourth Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - Fellowship Hall.

Assisted Living/Nursing Home

To provide worship services at Outlook Point, an assisted living home in Sherwood.

Homebound Ministry

An opportunity to visit church members who are unable to attend church for various reasons.

Sharefest

To unite the churches of Central Arkansas; Demonstrate the love of Christ to the community; and to meet some of the deepest needs of the community.
